About Us

The Mountainaire Inn and Log Cabins is owned and managed by Jim and Deborah McDowell.

They fell in love with Blowing Rock and the mountains after years of vacationing and visiting the area while their children attended college at Appalachian State University in nearby Boone, NC. Deborah and Jim are the innkeepers, gardeners and full-time residents of Blowing Rock. They invite you to stay in the rustic inn and log cabins; get to know the historic Village of Blowing Rock and experience everything the surrounding High Country has to offer.

Come and try our Blowing Rock NC cabin rentals and you will be pleasantly surprised.
